Yeti/Tara Airlines risking people's lives to make more money

We all now know about the tragic accident of Tara airlines that happened a week before on the route from Pokhara to Jomsom. Let me shed a light on all our readers who don't know much about airlines business in Nepal and the way they make dirty money out of it.

Tara Airlines is the sister company of Yeti airlines. They just use a different name to protect them from brand damage and compensation protection should accidents like this happen in its mountain flights. Buddha Air is very well respected and managed. That is why it secured a huge financing from international organization IFC ( International Finance Corporation) to buy buy bigger plans currently operating in Nepal.

Yeti/Tara Air all operate very old planes. They are old as 40/50 years old. Our government discourages operating buses more than 20 years old and yet we have planes flying that are more than 40 years old. They just paint them and make them look like new. That's a lot of corruption to swallow.

The thing is whenever there is an accident the airlines get huge compensation from insurance company. There will be wild drinking party in the owners because they just made millions because of a plane crash. This is the reason why airlines management pressure pilots to fly their planes even during harsh weathers. It's experience and talent on the part of Nepalese pilots that they have managed to prevent such accidents. But like I am saying Kasthamandap Air, Yeti/Tara Air are all disgusting airlines that are trying to make money by risking the lives of people. Lets make them culpable for the lives that we have lost. Let's spread the message.

Boycott Yeti/Tara Air
